Shame X-rite doesn't provide an upgrade path so your idea is sound at this point. Maybe check that you are NOT using a version 4 ICC profile preference! The same image in Explorer does not show this.Įxamine at 100% in something like Photoshop or an application you know is color managed. Not the application to be using (is it even color managed?). Somehow the results are odd.is like my calibration ends up brighter with a lot more shadow detail than expected and when viewing flickr images in Chrome it shows severe banding specially in dark areas. PS My prints look a LOT more like my x-rite calibrated image on screen than when using the displaycal BUT I am not sure if my printer bases the printing on the ICC profile I see that listed on the Canon printing plug in. I am about to order the i1Display Pro instead to use the x-rite software unless someone tells me that I am doing something wrong. I have my Nvidia control panel set to Use Nvida color settings, 12bpc under color depth, RGB and Full dynamic range. So it was giving me the green signa, that all was perfect. What I did was use the Gains settings of my tv to make all 3 colors meet the arrow as blue was higher. It is odd that this happens or is a LOT more noticeable when using the Displa圜al calibration. The same image in Explorer does not show this. Tried using the 2.2 gamma default and made wssure it was set to 1D. So I have been playing with ColorMunky display and Displa圜al. The hardware (i1Display/CM display) is the same, the lesser expensive offering has crippled software and runs slower (no big deal), otherwise, identical hardware. If I were to use Displa圜al.then does it really make a difference to upgrade from Munki display to i1Display pro? Now, I normally would just use the software that comes with the unit but a lot of people claim that Displa圜al is better. After reading about both, looks like the X-Rite is the sure winner. I own the ColorMunki Display and was going to upgrade to either the Spyder5Elite+ or the i1Display Pro.
